Unless the Colts have a helluva fourth quarter, we have three big wins for three of the best teams not named New England today. Hopefully your family dinner provided better conversation than the verbal swill my ears have been drinking in, courtesy of Bryant Gumbel’s banal banter, during this less-than-thrilling football game that is thankfully close to being done. The Pack won by eleven – six more than the five called for on the Yardstick; the Cowboys won by 31, which was 19 more than the Yardstick of 12; and the Colts are up 31-13, eight more than the Yardstick of 10 would suggest. There’s still twelve minutes left. Conservative?
